Brad Pitt to Produce “Beetlejuice” Sequel

If you’re a fan of the film ‘Beetlejuice,’ you might rejoice after hearing a sequel to the cult classic is on the way!

According to Deadline, Brad Pitt’s production company ‘Plan B’ has picked up the film and currently working on part 2. The sequel has been “long in the works at Warner Bros.,” but is still in the development stages. No script has been written, and any other information has yet to be disclosed.

’Beetlejuice’ is a classic comedic film directed by Tim Burton. The movie follows the spirits of a deceased couple who’s harassed by a family who moves into their house. The spirits later hire a malicious ghost to drive the family away. ‘Beetlejuice’ featured an all-star cast as Michael Keaton played the title role in the original. Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Catherine O’Hara, and Winona Ryder also starred in the blockbuster film. It grossed $73 million its first year and won an Oscar for best makeup and hairstyling in 1989.

There hasn’t been any word if the original cast members will be a part of the second installment.
