A Child Called The Police On Her Father After He Shot Her Mother, Three Other People And Then Himself

A child had to call the police on her father after he shot her mother, three other people and then himself, police say.

Around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to an apartment building in the 360 block of Sutter Avenue, according to the New York Police Department. NBC News reports that when police arrived, they found two people in the hallway and another person in the living room.

Police said all of the victims were dead at the scene. The victims, who were identified on Tuesday included, Rasheeda Barzey, 45, Solei Spears, 20, and Chloe Spears, 16.

Police also found the body of the shooter, which was 46-year-old Joseph McCrimon. It appeared as McCrimon shot himself in a walkway by the apartment. Police retrieved two firearms from his body. The child was not hurt, NBC News reports.
