A new TV drama series about the Hollywood life of iconic actress #AudreyHepburn is in production.
Hepburn was an Oscar-winning actress who became one of the most notable faces in Hollywood. Some of her popular films were “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” “Roman Holiday,” “Sabrina,” and “My Fair Lady.” The story will be based on a treatment by Luca Dotti, Hepburn’s son, and Italian journalist and writer Luigi Spinola.
Mario Gianani and Lorenzo Mieli’s of Italian production company Wildside will also help develop the series. Wildside is owned by Fremantle. Back in 2015, Dotti and Spinola co-authored a bestselling part-biography, part-cookbook titled “Audrey at Home.” The research and excerpts that were included in the book will play a part in the production of the series especially as it pertains to Hepburn’s formative years,” which the series will explore, according to a statement from Wildside.
Hepburn contributed a unique voice and style to acting that has been passed on time and time again to other Hollywood stars. “With her penchant for couture, she became a groundbreaking style icon in an era of sexpot starlets, melding some of the screen’s most memorable characters with her own regal charm and sophistication,” a Variety post wrote.
Hepburn received an Oscar for her performance in “Roman Holiday.”
The film has yet to be titled but will begin production in 2020.
