A new documentary is looking to shine a light on the disturbing allegations surrounding Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider.
Investigation Discovery has unveiled a trailer for the four-part docuseries titled “Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” The show will explore the dangerous culture that has been reported on the sets of many of Schneider’s shows. Between the 1990s and early 2000s, Schneider oversaw several popular shows such as “All That,” “iCarly,” and “Zoey 101.” However, multiple actors have called out Schneider for inappropriate behavior.
Many former Nickelodeon stars participated in “Quiet On Set.” The trailer alone saw appearances from former “All That” cast members Giovonnie Samuels, Kyle Sullivan, Bryan Hearne, and Katrina Johnson and director Virgil Fabian, who will speak to the toxic environment that Schneider created on set. “iCarly” star Alexa Nikolas previously accused Schneider of having a feet fetish and going around asking to film the young actor’s feet. Nikolas also claimed that Schneider would sit in on the minor’s outfit fittings so he could watch them undress. She is also participating in the doc and will likely elaborate on these stories.
Additionally, parents of child actors will share their insight into Schneider’s alleged abuse. Nickelodeon cut ties with Schneider in March 2018 amid the allegations. Still, the effects of his behavior have lingered, with many questioning why his firing took so long.
“Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” will premiere on ID on March 17th and conclude on March 18th.
