A New Hampshire Mother and Son Found Dead; Mother Accused Of Verbally Abusing Him

A New Hampshire mother and her two-year-old son were found dead on December 14. The deaths come after the mother was accused of verbally abusing and being rough with the toddler.

Mercedes Tremblay, 25, was found dead inside her condo located in Manchester, New Hampshire, from a single gunshot wound to the head. The cause of the death of Mason, the 2-year-old, has not been released. According to PEOPLE, the death is pending investigation.

The New Hampshire Union Leader referenced to the police reports that the mother was accused of being verbally abusive and rough with Mason and abusive towards her mother, Rhonda Wilkens-Hickey, and her mother’s boyfriend, Pierre Brendan.

Brendan told authorities that Mason “cries and does not want to go with her when [Tremblay] picks him up.” It was also reported that Tremblay’s mother was aware of the “struggles” her daughter faced but said at the end of the day she was her daughter and wanted to help her in “any way possible.”

A GoFundMe page has been created to help pay for the funeral costs of both victims.

“Mercedes and Mason have left us far too soon, and their families are trying to raise funds necessary to help with a funeral and the burials of these two loved individuals. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your help during the very difficult time for our family.”
