Lil Wayne is making sure the Hot Boys reunion is done correctly after the chaotic attempt made during 2024’s Essence Fest.

Only this time, every member will be hitting the stage. In July, Wayne, Juvenile, B.G., and Turk were the topic of social media during what was touted as a reunion of the adored rap quartet. Turk was reportedly uninvited to the Essence Fest reunion, while Wayne refused to perform without him. The end result was that Juvenile, Birdman, Mannie Fresh, and B.G. performed together, while Wayne hit the stage separately. Fans expressed their disappointment online, with B.G. and Turk exchanging words in multiple interviews and IG Lives.Â
Now, Wayne is looking to right those wrongs by bringing his group members together once and for all. Mannie Fresh will also be attending, though it appears Birdman will be absent from the celebration. In the past, he stated that he would reunite the Hot Boys without Turk, who also suggested that the Cash Money mogul didn’t always handle the paperwork correctly. Therefore, Wayne welcoming Turk with open arms could indicate a conflict with Birdman.Â
Turk took to his Instagram to announce his presence at Lil’ Weezyana Fest, prompting a wave of comments from fans who were disappointed in how Essence Fest went down.Â
The setlist remains to be seen, though fans can likely expect to hear adored Hot Boys classics such as “I Need a Hot Girl” and “Neighborhood Superstar.”
