A Starbucks employee in New Jersey who decided to go to work after testing positive for Hepatitis A and handled food may have potentially exposed thousands of customers to the virus.
The potential hepatitis A exposure concerns anyone who visited the Starbucks location at 1490 Blackwood Clementon Road on November 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, and 13.
On Wednesday, the Camden County Health Department was notified of the incident, and they immediately shut down the Gloucester Township location.
Customers who visited this location and aren’t vaccinated for hepatitis A are advised to get the vaccine “as soon as possible but no later than 14 days after contact,” the health department said in a statement released on Friday.
