ASAP Rocky has been blocked from being able to perform at the Swedish prison, where he was detained for several weeks.
The rapper will be heading back to Sweden for a concert in almost a week, and he expressed that he would be interested in performing for the inmates at Kronoberg prison. But, TMZ reports that a head official with Sweden’s Prison and Probation Service says there were security concerns that prevented the rapper from putting the gig together.
According to TMZ, the issue is the prison’s high occupancy of inmates. In Rocky’s written request, which was obtained by TMZ, Swedish prison officials note that there are a variety of restraints surrounding Rocky’s proposed visit. The document states that Rocky wanted to make a stop at Kronoberg along with a DJ and what appears to be 11 other performers and tech crew members. He also requested about five different camera guys for documentation purposes.
The amount of people Rocky wanted to have tag along with him is reportedly the main reason the prison couldn’t honor his request.
