Aaron Hernandez hasn’t even been to court for his first murder charges and already more charges are stacking up. Hernandez is accused of murdering two Boston men in 2012 and could be arraigned as early as next week.
“Mr. de Abreu and Mr. Furtado were ambushed and executed as they drove home along Shawmut Avenue in Boston’s South End in the early morning hours of July 16, 2012,” District Attorney Daniel Conley told reporters at a news conference Thursday. Conley said that Hernandez was driving an SUV that pulled up alongside de Abreu and Furtado’s car near the nightclub and that the former football star fired a .38-caliber revolver at them.
Hernandez has also been charged with three counts of armed assault with intent to murder and one count of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon after Hernandez allegedly fired shots at the people who also occupied the vehicle Abreu and Furtado were in. One of those people was injured.
