Mary J. Blige, renowned for her exquisite taste in boots, has long been urged by fans to launch her own line or partner with a shoe brand. The wait is finally over! Mary J. Blige recently unveiled her new collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti, introducing a boot collection that’s sure to dazzle.
The collection launched on Sunday, featuring a statement shoe that draws inspiration from the custom boots Blige wore at her Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit. This slouchy over-the-knee boot, priced at $1,295, boasts reflective rose gold accents and is available in women’s sizes 6-12.
“Mary is fierce, with a strong personality and a unique sense of style,” said Zanotti. “When I design for Mary, I aim to enhance her creative mood with designs that resonate with her music and persona.”
Blige was deeply involved in the design process of this statement boot, which encapsulates the distinctive and celebrated styles of both Blige and the brand. The 53-year-old singer announced the collaboration during her 2024 Strength of a Woman Festival in New York on Saturday.
“My fans have been anticipating a boot from me for a long time, so it had to be perfect,” Blige commented. “Giuseppe really understood what I was looking for and helped bring this vision to life.”
She added, “Boots have always made me feel powerful. There’s something about putting on a statement boot that makes you feel ready to conquer the day.”
Following the concert, in a video release, Blige excitedly shared, “The Mary J. Blige boot is officially out there. Everybody’s been asking for it. I announced it on stage while wearing them with an incredible outfit.”
The ‘Mary’ boot hit stores on Saturday, May 11th, and is available for purchase online at giuseppezanotti.com, as well as at the Giuseppe Zanotti boutique in Atlanta.
