Adam Sandler has teamed up with “We the Animals” director Jeremiah Zagar for his next Netflix movie, Hustle, according to Variety.
Taylor Materne and Will Fetters wrote the script. The film will be produced by Happy Madison, Roth/Kirschenbaum Films, and Lebron James and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Entertainment.
Adam Sandler stars as an American basketball scout who is unjustly fired from the NBA. In an attempt to redeem himself, he finds a talented player abroad and brings him back to the U.S. to prove they have what it takes to be successful in the NBA.
Netflix announced earlier this year that it had extended its partnership with Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions for four more films that will be distributed exclusively on the streaming platform.
Happy Madison and Netflix currently have another film in the works, Hubie Halloween, which will see Sandler starring alongside Kevin James, Maya Rudolph, and Shaquille O’Neill.
Sander, Zagar, James, and Springhill are repped by WME. Zagar is also repped by Untitled Entertainment.
