Adele and Husband Simon Konecki Separate After Over 7 Years Together

Singer Adele and her husband Simon Konecki have separated after being together for over 7 years. Representatives for the singer, Benny Tarantini, and Carl Fysh said in a statement, “Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”

Adele, born Adele Adkins, and her entrepreneur-philanthropist husband Konecki, have kept their romance under wraps for quite some time. The couple’s first public appearance was in 2012 during a trip to the Everglades. The same year in October, they welcomed their son Angelo. Their family lived a quiet life, spending time between her native London and Beverly Hills, where they bought a home in 2016.

The singer spoke in Vanity Fair about her bond with the “confident” and “perfect” Konecki in December 2016, calling it “the most serious relationship I’ve ever been in.” She said, “I have no desire to be with anyone in show business because we all have egos,” she told VF. “He’s not threatened by any stage of my life that I’m going for, and that’s an amazing thing.”

She confirmed their marriage at a March 2017 concert in Brisbane, when she announced to the audience: “I’m married now.” However, since then things have been even quieter with the couple.

Since last June, Adele has been seen out numerous times without Konecki and without her ring. Adele and her husband were last photographed together in January while attending Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road in Los Angeles.
