In a teary Instagram video announcing the postponement of her Las Vegas residency, Adele got super emotional.
Weekends with Adele at the Caesars Palace Hotel were to start on Friday, Jan. 21, and run until April, but in her latest Instagram post, she says that the show is postponed due to “delivery delays” and “COVID.”
The trending video has over 9 million views and shows the singer breaking down, claiming she is “gutted.” She says, “I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready.” We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID.”
She apologizes for the late announcement last night since the show was supposed to start today.
“Half my crew and team are [ill] with COVID and still are; it’s been impossible to finish the show.” After denying initial rumors of the residency, Adele announced it last November.
“I’m gutted–I’m sorry it’s so last minute, we’ve been awake for over 30 hours trying to figure it out, and we’ve run out of time.” She wipes the tears from her face and closes her video with a final apology. “I’m so upset, and I’m really embarrassed and so sorry to everyone that traveled to get [to the show]. I’m really, really sorry.”
Though it’s last minute, she did reiterate that they are rescheduling dates. She wrapped the video with a final, “I’m sorry.”
All dates will be rescheduled
