Adele is opening up about her relationship with boyfriend Rich Paul ahead of the release of her hotly anticipated new album “30.”
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Adele reveals the inspiration behind her latest collection of songs as she opens up about the current state of her romantic life.
She told the magazine her relationship with Paul is the “most incredible, open-hearted and easiest” one she’s ever been in.
The 33-year-old “Easy On Me” singer also admitted that her divorce from ex-husband Simon Konecki left her feeling devastated.
“It made me really sad,” she said. “Then having so many people that I don’t know, know, that I didn’t make that work … it f–king devastated me. I was embarrassed. No one made me feel embarrassed, but you feel like you didn’t do a good job,” she said.
Adele and the 39-year-old sports agent started dating over the summer, shortly after the pair reconnected following her father’s death last spring.
“I always had this fear from a really young age that you’re going to leave me anyway, so I’m going to leave, or I’m not going to invest myself in anything,” she said.
Now, Adele says she feels comfortable enough to share her love with the world, “I’m not frightened of loneliness anymore.”
