Adrian Peterson called out Damar Hamlin on Monday for wearing a controversial jacket during Super Bowl LVII. Hamlin, a Bills safety, was honored during Sunday’s event for his inspiring recovery from suffering cardiac arrest against the Bengals on Jan. 2.
However, Peterson, who is a devout Christian, found the jacket Hamlin wore disrespectful.
The jacket featured an altered image of Jesus on the front with the word “Eternal,” and a similar image of a crucifix on the back.

Peterson took to Instagram and criticized Hamlin for his outfit, calling it blasphemy. He later updated the caption to reflect that the two spoke and cleared the air.
