Adrien Broner will be spending the next several days in an Ohio jail. The former titleholder was taken into custody on Tuesday morning to begin his 10-day sentence stemming from a previous probation violation.
In January 2015, Broner was arrested for drunk driving in his hometown of Cincinnati. His arrest made headlines when the boxer was caught on tape bragging that he was rich, famous and made more than $100 million in his career. Clearly the officer didn’t care much about Broner’s financial status, and neither did the judge. He ended up getting his license suspended and after entering a plea of no contest to reckless driving, was put on six months of probation.
Broner plead guilty to violating his probation on Tuesday. This case is in no way related to the recent assault and armed robbery case Broner is facing.
Broner is scheduled for release on April 22.
