A second woman is coming for Aerosmith star Steven Tyler for sexually assaulting her in the 1970s.
Jeanne Bellino filed a lawsuit recently against Tyler, claiming that when she was just 17 “in approximately 1975,” she was working as a model and was invited by a friend to a gathering with the group at the Warwick Hotel in Manhattan. As she was headed to the hotel with then-27-year-old Tyler, he pushed her into a phone booth, forcefully kissed her, and “put his hands upon her body, her breasts, her buttocks, and her genitals, moving and removing clothing and pinning her against the wall of the phone booth,” which she did not consent to, NBC News reports. According to her legal docs, Tyler became upset when Bellino asked about a song lyric, ultimately leading to the assault.
As others looked on, laughing at them inside the phone booth, Tyler began to imitate a sexual act. Afterward, Bellino continued to the hotel with the group and her friend because she did not have a ride back to her home in Queens. However, before they could reach the room, the victim says Tyler pinned her against a wall and once again pushed his tongue in her mouth. As with the phone booth attack, Bellino pulled Tyler’s hair to make him stop. He disappeared to his room but called down to the lobby for Bellino. However, visibility shaken, a doorman helped her into a cab, which agreed to take her home even though she didn’t have the total fair. Once home, Bellino says she told her sister about the ordeal.
In the years following the attack, Bellino says she still takes medication to cope with the severe emotional and psychological toll of the incident. Her claims are similar to those made by Julie Misley in a separate lawsuit filed last year. She also said Tyler had sexual intercourse with her while she was only 16 after he convinced her mother to make him her legal guardian. In his 2011 memoir, “Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?” Tyler did admit to having sex with a 16-year-old girl, with Misley’s coming forward to confirm she was the teen he was speaking about. Tyler claimed he had immunity from rape charges since he was her legal guardian at the time. He has not yet commented on Bellino’s allegations.
