AJ And Free Return To Host Final 106 & Park Episode

It is true; all good things really do come to an end. After an outstanding 14-year run, BET’s Top Ten Video Countdown Show, 106 & Park is airing its final episode tonight, December 19, 2014 at 6P/5C.

106 & Park wouldn’t be 106 & Park if they didn’t go out with a party! The final show will be hosted by the original and probably the most favorite hosts, AJ and Free.  AJ and Free hosted 106 & Park for five consecutive years (2000-2005) and decided to return one last time to party with the livest audience before the show transitions to a web-format only.

Both AJ and Free took to their Instagram to announce their hosting of the final show as well as express their appreciation for being a part of a show that impacted so many.

Free wrote,

“Soooo…. On Friday December 19, @AJCalloway and I get to do it one more time like we used to do it.. Together for #TheFinalAct of @106andPark. So grateful to have been a part of this show, when we started it was but a dream! Join us as we say goodbye…. and celebrate 14 years of amazing guests, talented hosts and the livest audience on the ONE and ONLY 106 & Park! Salute @BET.”

AJ wrote,

“… I have the pleasure of gracing the stage one last time with @MissFreeMarie to host the final televised episode of #106andPark. To say today is going to be emotional is an understatement but I’ve learned God will not give us more than we can handle. It amazes me how far 106 and Park was taken. We started out two strangers with no television background, just trying to figure it out and we ended up with the #1 Music Television Show in America. It didn’t seem real then and today to have to return to say goodbye to 106 again is even more surreal. All I know is @MissFreeMarie and I love our fans, love the music and entertainers and appreciate all of the other host who have held down the park.”
