Akon Joins Presidential Campaign of Independent Candidate Brock Pierce As Chief Strategist 

Akon is tossing his hat into the election ring, but not as a candidate. Instead, live streaming financial news network Cheddar reports he will join the campaign for independent candidate Brock Pierce as their Chief Strategist.

Pierce is best known for his acting roles in ”The Mighty Ducks” and ”First Kid,” as well as his work in cryptocurrency. Pierce is the chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation and was named one of the “top 20 wealthiest people in crypto” by Forbes magazine in 2018.

“I’ve always known Brock Pierce to be a standup guy,” Akon said in a statement. “He’s a real people’s person, and he doesn’t operate between party lines.”

Pierce believes that Akon’s aspirations and accomplishments “will be valuable for our platform on a regional, national, and worldwide level,” says the publication.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Akon is best known for his hits “Locked Up” and “Lonely,” launching the careers of Lady Gaga and T-Pain, and for his “futuristic cryptocurrency themed city” in Senegal, Akon City.
