Authorities are investigating a possible domestic violence incident involving Oakland Raiders’ Aldon Smith. Sources say the alleged incident occurred on Saturday morning in San Francisco.  Police were called to the home but no arrest was made. The case is under “active investigation.”
Smith is currently suspended from the NFL following multiple violations of the league’s substance abuse policy. Initially, his yearlong suspension was due to end November 17, but when he applied for reinstatement on October 3, he was denied.  He is expected to be reinstated in March, but any more legal trouble could postpone his return.
Smith joined the Raiders in 2015, after being released from the San Francisco 49ers and racking up his 5th arrest over the span of 3 years. His latest arrest was a DUI/hit & run which occurred in August 2015. I’m sure Aldon Smith has been excited to eventually return to the NFL, so let’s hope he’s keeping his behavior in check.
