Alec Baldwin Says He “1000% Nervous” That Donald Trump Supporters Will Attack Him After He Claimed The Actor Probably Shot The Cinematographer “On Purpose”

Alec Baldwin fears Donald Trump supporters will kill him following the “Rust” shooting last year.

Baldwin recently spoke with TMZ and said the former president seemingly ordered a hit on him after commenting on the deadly shooting. If you recall, Baldwin held the firearm when it fired during a take and killed a cinematographer.

After the incident, Trump claimed the actor “probably shot her on purpose.” Baldwin fears Trump supporters will rally behind him as they did in the Capitol attack on January 6, 2021.

“The former president of the United States said [I] probably shot her on purpose. To me, that was the only time I was worried about what was going to happen,” Baldwin told CNN. “Here was Trump, who instructed people to commit acts of violence. And he was pointing the finger at me and saying I was responsible for the death.”

The actor says that after Trump made his comment, he was “1000% nervous” about his supporter attacking him.

He continued, “A bunch of people were instructed by the former president to go to the Capitol, and they killed a law enforcement officer. They killed somebody. You don’t think I thought to myself, ‘Are some of those people going to come and kill me?’”

As we’ve previously reported, Baldwin claims he did not pull the trigger. However, the FBI says the gun couldn’t discharge a bullet without pulling the trigger.
