Almost 5,000 Pounds Of Trader Joe’s Fish Recalled

Orca Bay Foods recalled almost 5,000 pounds of Trader Joe’s fish. Apparently, the company’s Gluten-Free Battered Halibut fish were made without listing milk or wheat as allergens.

“Customers with an allergy or sensitivity to wheat or milk should not eat the fish. We urge you to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund,” Trader Joes stated in a recent release.

The recall consists of 356 cases of 10 oz. boxes distributed across the following 19 states.

Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, and Wisconsin.

The Food And Drug Administration Issues the following statement“No illnesses have been reported to date. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product containing in packaging that did not reveal the presence of the allergens. Consumers who have purchased are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-800-932-ORCA, Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm PST.”
