Infamous former drug kingpin Alpo Martinez was reportedly shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in Harlem early Sunday morning.
According to the New York Daily News, the 55-year-old former drug dealer was killed in a drive-by shooting on a Harlem street corner.
Sources say he was struck multiple times in the chest in a hail of bullets fired from a passing vehicle on W. 147th St. near Frederick Douglass Blvd. just after 3:20 a.m.
Alpo, real name Alberto Geddis Martinez, was immortalized by rapper Cam’ron in the now-classic film “Paid In Full,” which was based on the real-life story of an infamous crew of drug dealers (Martinez, Azie Faison, and Rich Porter) who ruled Harlem in the mid to late ’80s.
Martinez’s legend was cemented after his 2015 release following a 35-year sentence for 14 counts of murder. He was released after testifying against former associates and brazenly admitted to killing his friend Rich Porter.
