Amar’e Stoudemire Doesn’t Want Gays In The Locker Room

Amar’e Stoudemire is the latest professional basketball player to be asked about his thoughts on gay players in the league. While most Ballers said that they don’t have any problems with gay players in the locker room, Stoudemire has offered alternative views.

When asked if Stoudemire, who currently plays for Hapoel Jerusalem of the Israeli Basketball Premier League,  would take issue with a gay player in the locker room, the Baller tells reporters, “I will shower across the street, I’m going to make sure my change of clothes are around the corner, and I’m going to drive and take a different route to the gym. ”

When asked if he was joking, Stoudemire replies, “I mean, there’s always a truth within a joke.”

Needless to say, he’s already started catching flack for his views. TMZ has labeled his comments as “downright homophobic.” What are your thoughts?
