An Amazon delivery driver ended up taking a wild ride on Thursday after someone carjacked the company van while he was inside.
Two Paterson, New Jersey police officers responded to a routine call when they spotted the Amazon driver frantically trying to escape the moving vehicle through the passenger side door as the van flew past a stop sign.
The delivery man waved at the cops to get their attention, and officers then tried to flag down the stolen vehicle.
Cops say the suspect, 37-year-old Rafael Rodriguez, floored the gas and led cops on a high-speed chase until he ended up on freight train tracks where the van ultimately got stuck.
Rodriguez tried escaping on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers, who processed him and took him to the Passaic County Jail.
