Over 13,000 children’s robes sold on Amazon are being recalled over flammability risk.
On Thursday, the Consumer Product Safety Commission posted four separate recalls on Amazon-sold robes due to them being “a risk of burn injuries to children.”
According to the notice, roughly 3,000 recalled robes were shipped from SGMWVB Brand, and 5,000 were imported by ChildLikeMe. In addition, another 2,000 came from BTPEIHTD and about 350 were from Betusline Official Apparel.
The robes that were sold by SGMWVB were available for purchase on Amazon from January 2020 to June 2022. The ChildLikeMe robes were sold from June 2021 through August 2022. Furthermore, BTPEIHTD robes were sold between August 2020 and June 2022 as Betusline’s were available from January 2022 through April 2022.
Nevertheless, the CPCS says none of the robes have contributed to any injuries so far but believes the product should be disposed “immediately.”
Amazon, as well as the other companies, have already began contacting consumers who purchased the robes. However, consumers are still being urged to reach out to the companies to obtain a full refund.
