Amazon Raises Award To $50K To Get Information On Nooses Found In Warehouse

Now, hell nah! Whoever says racism doesn’t exist in America needs to open their eyes and read this.

Apparently, a bunch of nooses mysteriously appeared at a Connecticut Amazon warehouse that’s under construction.

According to TMZ, the e-commerce giant has added $25,000 to the $25,000 put up by developer RC Anderson, LLC with hopes of getting any information about the troubling discovery at the site.

It’s been weeks since police responded to the Windsor, Connecticut center to investigate the noose.

On April 27, the “hangman’s noose” was first found hanging from a steel beam on the second floor by a supervisor. The company quickly responded to the racist act by informing employees and holding an anti-discrimination training class.

But that didn’t seem to help. A couple of days after police came out, they were called out again for five more ropes–that could be interpreted as nooses—that were spread out among the facility.

The ropes are currently being held at the police’s crime lab, and the FBI is reportedly aware of the incident. However, they have not joined in on the investigation at this time.

Authorities have no suspects, and the police are still trying to determine if the dangling nooses specifically targeted someone.

A rep for Amazon says it “remains deeply disturbed by the incident that occurred in Windsor a couple of weeks ago.” The rep added, “Hate, racism, and discrimination have no place in our society and are not tolerated in any development associated with Amazon — whether it be under construction like this one or fully operational.”
