Amazon confirmed the removal of a memoir, Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice, which alleged an abusive relationship between the late Kim Porter and hip-hop icon Sean “Diddy” Combs. The book, released under the pseudonym Jamal T. Millwood, claimed to expose Diddy’s violent behavior towards Porter, including physical abuse and sexual coercion.
Porter and Combs’ children strongly denounced the memoir as fabricated, which led to Amazon’s decision. “We were made aware of a dispute and have notified the publisher,” an Amazon spokesperson stated. The book was pulled from the site after reaching the No. 1 spot on Amazon’s bestseller list in September, following news of Diddy’s recent legal troubles.
The memoir’s publisher, Chris Todd, claimed to have compiled the story using documents and tapes from sources close to Porter and Combs. However, Todd has not commented on the book’s removal, and its credibility remains under fire. Despite its initial success, the book is no longer available for purchase on Amazon.
