Amber Heard Says She Feared Johnny Depp Would Kill Her: ‘I Remember Thinking He Was Going To Kill Me In That Moment’

Actress and model Amber Heard took the stand in Johnny Depp‘s libel court case where she alleged that her ex-husband “threatened to kill” her, according to Deadline.

As a witness for the defense team in Depp’s lawsuit against News Group Newspapers, which published a 2018 news article referring to the actor as “wife beater, Heard recounted a “three-day hostage situation” with Depp, describing it as “the worst thing I have ever been through.”

Heard, who married Depp in February 2015, went to visit her husband in Australia a month later to spend three days alone together.

“We were due to be there for three days on our own, but it was only when I arrived that I realized I was trapped in this remote place without any means to leave and that Johnny had already been using and had a bag of drugs,” Heard said.

The “Aquaman” actress said she was trapped and isolated with “a violent person suffering from manic depression, bipolar disorder and a pattern of repeated, drug-induced psychosis and violence.” Heard added that Depp was on a multiple-day drug and alcohol binge.

During the three days with the “Pirates Of The Caribbean” actor, Heard said she endured “extreme acts of psychological, physical, emotional, and other forms of violence.”

“It is the worst thing I have ever been through,” she said. “I was left with an injured lip and nose and cuts on my arm.”

Heard described instances when Depp became physical with her, stating that he grabbed her by the neck, shoved her against the fridge, and threatened to “crush” her neck. She also mentioned that he stripped her naked by ripping off her nightgown.

“At some point, he pulled me around by my neck and pushed me down against the bar; I was against the bar, naked, bent over backwards, my back against the marble.”

The model recalled Depp squeezing her neck until she couldn’t breathe.

“I was trying to tell him that I couldn’t breathe,” Heard said. “I remember thinking he was going to kill me in that moment.”

Heard said when she woke up the next day, she noticed that one of Depp’s fingers was missing. She admitted that she did not witness her ex-husband cut his finger off, but she suggested that it happened when he smashed the phone on the wall the previous night.

Later in her statement, Heard said Depp urinated in front of security when they arrived at the house.

“He went out the front door, though security tried to stop him. He took out his penis, and they asked him what he’s doing. He answered as if he was asleep: ‘I need to take a f***ing piss, it’s my house.'”

Shortly after Depp’s bizarre encounter with security, Heard said he was taken to the hospital.

Now alone at the remote house, Heard said she found pieces of her ripped nightgown wrapped around raw meat.

“There were pieces of it wrapped around something, and I realized it was the steak I had planned to cook. He had ripped the gown into pieces and put raw meat in it. He had also gone around and painted on all my clothes in the closet. He had taken a lot out of them and put them in the tub and smeared paint on them. And he had hidden more bits of raw meat in places, like in the bedroom closet. It was really messed up,” she stated.

Contrary to Heard’s testimony, Depp claimed that Heard was the aggressor during their time together in Australia.

According to People, Depp told the court that Heard put a cigarette out on his face and threw a bottle at him that severed his finger.

However, Heard released a statement, denying her ex-husband’s allegations.

“I would be very surprised if he remembers anything about the whole event; he was in such a state,” the statement read.
