Amber Rose is making headlines for stepping into the Tory Lanez controversy with bold claims and a call for justice. During an interview with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation, the model and entrepreneur said she believes Lanez is innocent in the highly publicized shooting involving Megan Thee Stallion.

According to Rose, the rapper personally called her from prison and shared his side of the story. She says after hearing directly from him, she’s convinced he didn’t shoot Megan. “He’s 100 percent exonerated from the gun,” Rose told Cuomo. “He deserves to be pardoned by Governor Gavin Newsom.”
Rose also downplayed the infamous text message Tory sent Megan after the incident, claiming the apology had nothing to do with a shooting. “The sorry was not for what people think it was for,” she said, adding that Lanez will explain himself when he’s released.
But the facts of the case tell a different story. Lanez was convicted in 2022 for shooting Megan in the foot and is currently serving a 10-year sentence. DNA evidence in the case was inconclusive, but both Megan and her friend Kelsey testified that Lanez was the shooter.
Still, Rose is pushing back on the narrative. She’s been sharing a petition on her social media asking California Governor Newsom to grant Tory a pardon. The move has stirred up more debate online, reigniting fierce conversations about the justice system, celebrity accountability, and public loyalty.
Whether you see it as advocacy or denial, Amber Rose just stepped into the ring for Tory Lanez—and she’s not backing down.
