Ian Connor has been staying in the headlines and none of it is for his fashion and abilities as a stylist. In 2014, Emory University student, #MalikaAnderson published a blog alleging that Connor raped her. A police report dated October 5 (2014) was given to Broadly from DeKalb County Police Department corroborating Anderson’s blog post. After the post went viral, six women came forward accusing Connor of rape as well.
There are at least seven women accusing Connor of rape. While most of his colleagues and peers have no comment on the situation, Amber Rose does. In a recent interview with the #DailyBeast, Amber alleges that the 21 women have confided in her and the number could possibly be higher.
“Because I have my SlutWalk, all of the women [who’ve accused Ian Connor] have reached out to me as well. They want to come to my SlutWalk and tell their story on my stage. I have that platform for them to do so. I’m not a lawyer. I can’t prosecute anyone or say, “What she’s saying is exactly the truth.” I wasn’t there. Honestly, seven came out and I’m pretty sure 21 women have reached out to me so far. So I’m assuming there are more [stories] coming out. It’s innocent until proven guilty, but when you have 21 women from all over the world that do not know each other but have similar stories, it gets to the point where it’s like… enough.”, Amber told #TheDailyBeast
Connor has vehemently denied all rape allegations.
