Amber Rose is clearing the air after her comments about Beyoncé at Kamala Harris’s Houston rally received some backlash from the Beyhive.
Over the weekend, Rose took to social media to claim that Beyoncé had taken her “whole speech” during her appearance at Harris’ Houston rally. In the speech, Beyoncé encouraged Texans to support Vice President Kamala Harris, calling for unity and hope. Rose, however, posted shortly after, writing, “She wanna be me so bad. Literally took my whole speech.”
The model, entrepreneur, and Trump supporter recently backtracked, claiming it was all a joke. “I was literally trolling,” Rose told TMZ. “I troll with my friends all the time. I didn’t think it’d blow up like this.”
Rose says she has nothing but love for Queen Bey, mentioning they’ve hung out a few times, so the idea she’d come for her was wild. “It’s crazy how one little joke becomes ‘international news,’” she laughed, calling out the intensity of fan reactions.
While Rose is no stranger to making bold statements, this time it was all for laughs, she insists. “I was literally joking,” she added.
It’s clear that Amber’s got love for Beyoncé, and her joke just didn’t land well with fans.
