Amber Rose is standing beside her support for Donald Trump.
Days after the model shared a snapshot of herself next to Trump and his wife, Melania, she shared that she would be voting for him, which sparked outrage amongst her fans. However, according to Rose, Trump is the better option. She then followed up with a video on Thursday, further justifying her support of Trump.
In the clip, Trump is expressing his support for same-sex marriage years before he became president. The interview was from 1998 and then cuts to a 2008 video of Biden claiming he does not support gay marriage. She then wrote a lengthy caption sharing how Trump was not the anti-LGBTQ+ villain that he is often made out to be. She also pointed out that she was not turning her back on the gay community.
“For all the LGBTQ+ people that think after decades of allyship I would ever hate you! Stop believing the propaganda. They are brainwashing you. Start having bigger conversations instead of staying on one side of the fence. Ur blind over there,” she wrote.
Rose has been an advocate for women’s rights, long speaking out about slut shaming and even organizing her annual Slut Walks.
“I literally grew up in the Philly/NYC ballroom scene. Most of my favorite people in the world are gay and trans. People that truly know me know that! Please do your research and stop just making decisions based off what other people think. Be a free thinker,” Rose added In her caption.
The post attracted hundreds of comments, many of which were dragging the influencer, though she appears unbothered by the backlash.
