An ambulance was stolen outside of Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta on Tuesday morning after stopping to drop off a patient.Â
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the ambulance was later recovered. However, police are still looking for the suspect that stole the vehicle.Â
Police said that investigators placed a lookout notice on the stolen vehicle and recovered it in East Point. It was later towed to the Atlanta police Public Safety Annex for processing.
The ambulance was stolen around 7:45 a.m. when the driver left it unattended to tend to a patient. The EMT left the engine running while taking a patient inside. When he returned, the vehicle was gone.Â
