An American woman was hospitalized on Friday after becoming ill while at the Bahamas where three other Americans mysteriously died while staying at a resort. The woman has since left the country and is now being treated at a hospital in Miami.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, has been listed in serious condition, Royal Bahamas Police Force Commissioner Paul Rolle said.
The woman was first airlifted to a hospital in Nassau.
Authorities are investigating what caused the deaths of three Americans who died Friday.
Foul play is not suspected, according to Bahamian Acting Prime Minister Chester Cooper.
Officials have not confirmed that the hospitalized woman was staying at the Sandals Emerald Bay resort on Great Exuma where the three other Americans died.
One man was found deceased in a villa and showed no signs of trauma, and a couple was also discovered but in another villa, the Royal Bahamas Police Force said in a statement Saturday.
