Just days after Adrien Broner threatened to put hands on Instagram personality, Andrew Caldwell, for allegedly sliding in his DMs, Caldwell has filed a temporary restraining order against the boxer.
It all started on Monday after Broner’s threat to “punch the testosterone” out of Caldwell over his alleged attempt to shoot his shot, which encouraged Caldwell to clear his name on Instagram live.
“He needs some attention,” Caldwell said at the time. “Chile, don’t let me call May Floydweather. You have not won since 2017. How dare you to come in my inbox. All I said was, ‘Keep up the good work.’ Next, you know I’m getting a tag with saying, ‘Say out my inbox.’ Chile, you want me. I don’t want you. And you need to tell your fans, you are that way.”
As he continued, he said, “I got receipts. And my job is not to blast nobody or not of that. But don’t come here talking about I was trying to sleep with you. No, you trying to sleep with me. Let’s be real. I never posted anything nasty, I never came to you wrong or none of that. You came for me. You was in my inbox. How dare you go to your fans and lie and then hashtag #Andrewccaldwell.”
In response, Broner posted a “P.S.A,” in which he threatened to shoot any gay person in the face. “If any f*g, punk ass nigga come run up on me, trying to touch me on all that gay shit, I’m letting you know right now- if I ain’t got my gun on me, I’m knocking you the fuck out. If I got my gun on me, I’m shooting you in the fucking face. And that’s on God and ‘em.”
But now, in the wake of Broner’s message, Caldwell is taking necessary steps to protect himself against the professional boxer. In fact, according to TMZ, the former viral sensation filed a restraining order against Broner, and a judge approved.
As a result, both Broner and Caldwell will have to refrain from slamming each other on social media until their next hearing on April 1.
