Angela Rye has been widely known for passionately delivering political and worldly commentary to the people for years now, and, in just a couple of weeks, Rye will actually be bringing her captivating voice to BET.
The famed CNN political commentator is teaming with BET Networks to host and executive produce an array of forthcoming quarterly primetime news special projects that will address the unwavering issues faced on a daily by blacks in America.
“Working with BET always provides a reminder of why I began to do this work. It is essential that we have platforms where we can discuss our politics, our challenges, and our culture through our respective lenses,” Rye expressed in a recent press release.
Rye will be making her primetime BET debut in the tentatively titled ‘Angela Rye’s State of the Union’ special, which serves as a rebuttal to Trump’s State of the Union address and will air late night on January 31st at 12/11c, only on BET.
Additionally, BET News correspondent Marc Lamont Hill’s contract with the network has also been renewed, and he’s seemingly stoked to be returning to the family, once again.
