Angelica Ross Says Emma Roberts Made Transphobic Comments Toward Her On “American Horror Story” Set [Video]

Angelica Ross continues to call out her experience with “American Horror Story,” now slamming her co-star Emma Roberts for being transphobic.

Shortly after Ross went after “American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy for ghosting her, she began to air out the toxic work environment she encountered while filming the series. On Monday, Ross shared a tweet promising to tell fans about comments from one of her co-stars, which we now know to be Roberts. The next day, in an Instagram Live, Ross aired out the actress, who made a nasty remark about Ross not being a woman.

Ross said while jokingly talking to Roberts, another staffer chimed in and told them, “Okay ladies, that’s enough. Let’s get back to work.” That is when Roberts replied, “Don’t you mean lady?”

“My blood is boiling, boiling because I’m like, ‘If I say something, it’s gon’ be me.’ And I know this because there was someone who spoke up about what she was doing, and they got repercussions from it,” Ross recounted during the stream. Ross said she refused to speak with Roberts after the incident. Ross says many people on the “American Horror Story: 1984” set had nasty run-ins with Roberts.

Murphy got the first dose of Ross’s dragging earlier this week, accused of contacting her to collaborate on a Black-woman-focused season of “American Horror Story.” Ross shared a screenshot of him seeking her advice regarding which women to bring on board. However, she no longer heard from him after emailing him multiple times. This caused her to miss out on a movie opportunity with Marvel.

Neither Roberts nor Murphy have responded to Ross’s claims, though fans have rallied around Ross online.
