Angelina Jolie‘s daughter will be a Spelman student!
Over the weekend, the actress congratulated her daughter and the rest of the Atlanta-based HBCU for women’s starting class.
“Zahara with her Spelman sisters! Congratulations to all new students starting this year. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl,” Jolie wrote on Instagram.
In another viral post, Angelina Jolie is seen trying to learn how to do the Electric Slide at Spelman’s “Back-to-School” event with Morehouse College.
Surely, Zahara will receive much support on campus as comments rolled in welcoming her to Spelman. One user wrote, “Welcome to the sisterhood 💙💙💙.”
Another person commented, “Love this! She will be well taken care of. Hope you got your Spelman Mom t-shirt 💙💙💙 #spelmanmom”
Jolie shares Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, Maddox, 20, Pax, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 14, with Brad Pitt.
Zahara has always been passionate about social justice, and her actress-mother visited Washington D.C. in December to meet with politicians in support of Violence Against Women.
Honored to visit Washington, DC, with Zahara,” she captioned an Instagram post at the time, “working with advocates and lawmakers to modernize and strengthen the #ViolenceAgainstWomenAct to include protections for children’s health and safety, communities of color, tribes, LGBTQ survivors, rural areas, and all survivors.”
