Funeral arrangements have been announced for Angie Stone, the award-winning singer, songwriter, and actress whose impact on music spans decades.
A homegoing service will take place on Friday, March 14, in Atlanta, Georgia, followed by a funeral on Saturday, March 15, in her hometown of Columbia, South Carolina, at First Nazareth Baptist Church on Gervais Street—the very church where she first began singing gospel music as a child.
Stone, 63, tragically passed away last weekend following a car accident in Alabama. She was traveling with her team from a performance in Mobile, en route to Atlanta to catch a flight to Baltimore for the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Basketball Tournament, when their vehicle collided with a commercial truck.
