The mother of “Euphoria” actor Angus Cloud has shared their final conversation before his accidental overdose.
The 25-year-old actor had been in mourning following the recent death of his father just a week prior. His mother, Lisa Cloud, had stated that her son did not intend to end his own life. She is now sharing the specifics of her last conversation with him before his passing. According to Lisa, on the night of his passing, Angus expressed his love to his mother and assured her that he would “see her in the morning.”
“I love you, mama. You’re the best,” Lisa said, recalling their conversation. “I’ll see you in the morning.”
Angus’ unfortunate passing was attributed to a fatal combination of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and benzodiazepines. She explained that her son started using opioids as a means to cope with pain after sustaining a brain injury at 15. Additionally, she mentioned that he experienced another injury while being arrested for graffiti art.
“It was predominantly the central nervous system depressants. It started to slow his heart and slow his breathing,” Lisa said. “He got tired from lack of oxygen. Everything just slowed down, and eventually his heart stopped and he went to sleep. But he didn’t kill himself.”
On July 31st, Angus was discovered by his mother, slumped over his desk.
“I started shaking him and screaming. I pushed him hard, and he fell on the floor. I tried to resuscitate him — mouth to mouth — and I was compressing him,” she said. “I was screaming for my neighbor because I didn’t want to leave him and call 911, and I just kept at it until they took him away. I miss him so much. He was the love of my life.”
Nevertheless, Lisa says she is thankful for the support from close ones and Angus’s friends and fans.
