Another One Bites The Dust – J. Cole Marries College Sweetheart

Back in December of 2013 it was rumored that J. Cole proposed to his longtime girlfriend and college sweetheart, Melissa Heholt, on her birthday. The two dated on and off for years since graduating from St. John’s University in 2007. In December of 2014, rumors surfaced once more that Cole proposed to Melissa on her birthday. In December of 2015 we didn’t hear anything about another birthday proposal, why? Because apparently the there was no need. 

While interviewing J. Cole on a panel at the #MLKNow event in NYC today, film director Ryan Coogler let it slip that his pal J. Cole was off the market.  “How did getting married changed you bro?” Coogler asked. Cole, who was shocked and lost for words, joked with Coogler about his interviewing skills, “That was the one thing NOT to do,” to which Coogler responded, “Oh, nobody knows?”

J. Cole confirmed the statement with, “Well, they do now!”

Yes, we know now! Congrats to Jermaine and Melissa on their not-so-secret nuptials!
