Anthony Edwards has been hit with a hefty fine for his spicy response to a game heckler.

The Minnesota Timberwolves guard was fined $50,000 for “directing inappropriate language and making an obscene gesture towards a fan,” the NBA announced. The heckler repeatedly shouted, “Where your kids at?” seemingly a shot at the NBA star’s recent custody drama. Edwards responded by declaring how wealthy he was before shouting, “My d**k bigger than yours,” while grabbing his private area.
The incident occurred at 4:33 in the third quarter of the Timberwolves’ dominant 117-95 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series at Crypto.com Arena. ESPN’s Shams Charania broke the news via Twitter, confirming the fine handed down by Byron Spruell, President of League Operations.

This marks yet another fine in a long list for Edwards this season. Before this latest punishment, he had already racked up $320,000 in penalties. His earlier infractions include $35,000 for failing to exit the court promptly and throwing the ball into the stands, $50,000 for obscene gestures, and a staggering $100,000 for using profanity on a live broadcast.
Despite the controversy, Edwards was instrumental in Minnesota’s Game 1 win. The Lakers, meanwhile, were thoroughly outplayed in what many are calling one of their most disappointing performances of the season. The heckler appears to be a Lakers fan who may not have been pleased with the way the game was going.
