Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves had a solid first quarter Sunday night, the worst second quarter this series, a hard-fought third quarter, and a dominant fourth quarter. Watching this game in real-time was a wave of emotions. The Timberwolves set a record with their 20-point comeback in the third quarter—the most by any team in a Game 7. They are now the only team to trail by that much in a Game 7 and win.

Anthony Edwards had six points going into the fourth quarter, but it did not matter. When it was necessary, the Wolves’ bench filled the void until Edwards turned it on in the fourth quarter. Jaden McDaniels and Karl-Anthony Towns led the way, both scoring 23 points, and combining for four steals, blocks, and three-pointers.
When asked last night who was the MVP, Edwards said McDaniels. He was amazing all series on both sides of the floor, possibly the most important player on this team, who has another tough defensive assignment next round against Luka Doncic.
The Denver Nuggets supporting cast had one of their worst performances. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray both finished with 34 and 35 points, respectively. The other players scored: 4, 7, 5, 5, 0, and 0. You cannot win like that, especially at home.
The current general manager of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Tim Connelly, was given a share of ownership in the team when he was asked to leave the Denver Nuggets. He built this team to beat the Denver Nuggets. Nikola Jokic agrees and mentioned it after the game last night.
“Yes, I think they’re built to beat us,” Jokic told the media last night. “They basically have two All-Stars, two All-Defensive First Team players, and Mike Conley, who’s the most underrated player in the NBA probably. I love the guy, he’s so good.”

Conley finished the game with 10 points, eight rebounds, two steals, and four assists. KAT had an interesting up-and-down night. Back-to-back fouls slowed down his momentum in the fourth quarter, and from the 6-minute mark to about 2 minutes, he was on the bench.
Ant showed him love, calling him the best big man in the world, mentioning the Nuggets had no answers for him at all.
“Thank KAT, y’all. They ain’t have no answer for Karl. Karl the baddest big on the planet. Y’all know it. It ain’t hard to see.”

When KAT came back into the game, a huge three-pointer and a putback dunk with less than a minute left were the nails in the coffin for this Nuggets team.

Anthony Edwards told Charles Barkley that it seems everyone will have to bring their ass to Minnesota this week. Check out Charles talking to Ant after the game below.

Edwards filled up the box score, finishing the game with 16 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. While speaking to the Inside The NBA crew, Edwards let it be known that Kyrie Irving would be his matchup, and he is excited for it.
The Dallas Mavericks will travel to Minnesota for Game One of this series.
