The Minnesota Timberwolves star shooting guard Anthony Edwards’ AE 1 shoe gained notoriety for the style, feel, and flare he showed while playing in them. Adidas has put a lot behind the Atlanta-born player who potentially will become the face of the NBA, still in his early 20s. After winning an Olympic gold medal, staring in a Netflix documentary, and a feature article with Vikings star receiver Justin Jefferson Edwards is everywhere. He is vying for his first NBA championship as he also prepares for the release of his second shoe sooner than later.
The commercial shows Anthony Edwards meeting a polygraph examiner as he prepares to answer every question as honestly as possible. Edwards was asked multiple questions about his ability, and he was unwavering as the test stayed steady. The examiner finally mentioned that the easy questions were over, he was then asked if he thought the team that won the NBA Finals(Boston Celtics) deserved their championship coming out of the east, to which Ant replied that they worked hard for that chip. The camera panned to his foot as it began to tap.
He asked Ant if he was worried about the new talent that was coming into the league, which Edwards complimented them. However, the test determined that that was a lie. A commercial that epitomizes his confidence. He finished with 27 points, six rebounds, and five assists in his debut in a loss against the Los Angeles Lakers last night.
