Two aging heavyweight boxers that fans have been waiting to face off have finally agreed to “all terms” of a new deal and a tentative date.
According to boxing insider Dan Rafael, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder will square off in their first of two matches on March 9 in Saudi Arabia. That is, if both fighters are victorious on Saturday in their fights at the Day of Reckoning: Fight Night in Saudi Arabia.Â

“With the Joshua and Wilder teams on the ground this week in Riyadh for their bouts on Saturday, they met with those officials, came to an agreement on all terms, and gotten contracts, which are expected to be signed before they enter the ring on Saturday,” a source told Rafael at Fight Freaks Unite.Â
Wilder is set to battle former World Champion Joseph Parker, a fighter who looks at Tyson Fury as a brother and spent weeks with him preparing to face off against Wilder, whom he defeated twice. Saturday will be a good test to show the world that he is still one of the division’s most dominating fighters.Â
Anthony Joshua will be going against Otto Wallin, who is currently ranked as a top ten heavyweight boxer in his class across the top boxing rankings. The 33-year-old boxer is a former WBA continental Champion who packs a tough punch. If both fighters defeat their opponents, the mega-fight in 2024 will be set in stone for March.
Joshua and Wilder have a point to prove on Saturday, December 23 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia starting at 11:30 a.m. with an underwhelming undercard.
