If you’re looking to woo Rihanna, a love song is not the way to do it.

In a new Valentine’s Day-themed Savage X Fenty promo video, RiRi hilariously declared that love songs are not the way to her heart. Her disdain was evident as she responded to a series of playful either-or questions, including “love song or love letter.”
“Please never make me a love song. Trust me. I’ve seen it,” she firmly stated.
The clip left fans speculating which artists have penned heartfelt records about Rih. Many online pointed to her past connection to Drake, whose lyrics have often hinted at their romantic history. On the 2016 track “Hype,” he famously rapped, “Chasing women a distraction/ They want to be on TV next to me/ You cannot be here next to me/ Don’t you see RiRi here next to me?”
The chatter also brought up Drake’s 2023 track, “Fear of Heights,” from “For All the Dogs.” However, that track was more of a Rihanna diss track than a love anthem.
“Why they make it sound like I’m still hung up on you/ That could never be/ Gyal can’t ruin me/ Better him than me/ Better it’s not me/ I’m anti, I’m anti/ Yeah, and the sex was average with you/ Yeah, I’m anti ’cause I had it with you,” he fired off.
Additionally, fans questioned which Chris Brown songs may have been about her during their relationship over a decade ago. Rih didn’t provide context. Nevertheless, it’s evident she is not too worried about her past exes and their tunes dedicated to her.
