New Orleans jail escapee Antoine Massey is still on the run after releasing social media videos that led police to raid a home believed to be his hideout. Despite finding clothing thought to be his, Massey wasn’t there when officers arrived.
Massey, 32, is one of two men still missing after a May 16 jail break involving 10 inmates. Eight have since been recaptured. The escapees reportedly broke out by forcing open a faulty cell door, removing a toilet, cutting through steel bars, and slipping past security.

Authorities launched the raid after relatives tipped them off about the videos, which appeared to show Massey inside a home just two miles from the jail. The footage, now removed from Instagram, featured a man resembling Massey appealing to public figures, including Donald Trump and Lil Wayne, for help.
Police say Massey was facing serious charges including rape, kidnapping, domestic violence, and violating a protective order. He claimed in one of the videos that he was innocent and had been let out of jail.
A woman reportedly involved with Massey was arrested for allegedly helping him plan and carry out the escape. She is now facing charges of obstruction and aiding escape.
Meanwhile, the manhunt continues with a $50,000 reward offered for tips on Massey and fellow fugitive Derrick Groves. State police say the case is evolving quickly and stress the importance of public cooperation.
