Antonio Brown continues to call out the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for forcing him to play through a foot injury and is now taking aim at former friend Tom Brady.
On Monday, AB took to his Instagram Story to share a foot x-ray from October 2021, which seemingly proves that the wide receiver did indeed have an injured foot at the time of his dramatic January 2nd exit during a game against the New York Jets.
“They tried to hurt me intentionally,” Brown wrote on the photo. He also took the opportunity to call out Brady’s role in the incident, claiming he told Brown he’d toss him the ball if he pushed through the game. Brown says this did not happen in the quickly deleted post.
“Imagine being hurt having to play through this and being lied to,” Brown stated.
Brown previously thanked Brady for giving him an opportunity with the Bucs and even praised the NFL icon when news broke of his retirement. As for Bucs coach Bruce Arians, the 33-year-old has blasted him since that fateful game for his lack of empathy and lying about having knowledge of the injury.
Brady nor the Bucs have responded to these latest claims.
Antonio Brown finally posted his injured ankle X-ray “from after the Jets game”.
The Bucs played the Jets on January 2nd.
One problem.
The X-ray is from October 2021.
He has since deleted the post. https://t.co/ytknVISM9D pic.twitter.com/fOTrEd5ESP
