Your pooch can now hit you up via text message through an app that gained popularity on TikTok.
We’ve always wanted to know exactly what our furry friends are thinking. Now, we kind of can with the FluentPet Connect App, a platform that went viral on TikTok for its talking buttons. According to Mashable, the app launched a new version of its button system, which now has WiFi and data capturing capabilities.
The app senses when a pet presses one of the buttons and it sends a message to its owner in real-time. The dogs have the option of pressing buttons that request their owner to let them play, go outside and more. The news outlet reports that dog owners will have to teach their pet how to use the buttons.
“When people are in another room, they can get a text message from their dog [saying], ‘I really need to go outside right now, you probably want to come get me,” said Leo Trottier, CEO of FluentPet. The options for pups include pictures that are printed on hexagonal tiles or “HexTiles.”
Along with WiFi, the new FluentPet Connect app has also upgraded the platform’s sound quality, Mashable reports. The news outlet reports the FluentPet Connect Base HexTile costs $69.95, and Expansion HexTiles costs $49.95. The products will start its start shipping out in Spring 2022. They can be reserved on the company’s website.
